Witnessing Picasso’s forbidden fruits

“Art is never chaste. It ought to be forbidden to the ignorant and the innocent; those who are not sufficiently prepared should never be brought in contact with it. Yes, art is dangerous. Or if it is chaste, it is not art.”
It’s only a matter of days before these painted words are removed from the walls inside the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts on Sept. 16.
