Stingers keep win streak and playoff hopes alive

With a solid team effort, well-executed game plan and explosive offence, the Concordia men’s hockey team racked up another pair of victories on the road this weekend to extend their win streak to four games. With a 5-0 whipping of Queen’s on Saturday and an equally dominant 6-1 performance against RMC the next day the Stingers have also moved within a point of clinching the final playoff spot in the OUA Far East division.

“It’s the players who have stepped-up their leadership role that have been important to us,” Head Coach Kevin Figsby said.

Concordia got a little help from Toronto who beat McGill 2-1 this past weekend. McGill is the team chasing Concordia for the last spot. Each team has two games left including one against each other on the last day of the season at McGill on Saturday.
