Love. Angel. Music. Baby. – Gwen Stefani

After having spent 17 years as the frontwoman of the rock quartet No Doubt, Gwen Stefani is breaking free and taking a chance at a solo career.

Her debut album entitled Love. Angel. Music. Baby., which came out in late November, is packed with pop, dance, new wave and hip hop sounds. Her first single What You Waiting For received a lot of airplay and has even been nominated for a Grammy Award.

To create this fun and refreshing album, she worked with renowned artists such as Dr. Dre, The Neptunes, Andree 3000, and Linda Perry, just to name a few.

Gwen Stefani claims it had always been a dream of hers to create a dance album, and she felt it was the right time to make the project happen.

Album highlights include Cool an ’80’s inspired ballad, Serious which was produced by her No Doubt bandmate Tony Kanal, and Danger Zone. Other songs like Bubble Pop Electric and Rich Girl will definitely make you want to get up and dance.

This feel good record might not please all No Doubt fans but it is definitely worth a listen.

Over the years Stefani has always found a way to reinvent herself. She has gone from rocker to designer to actress, and now to solo performer. What will she think of next?
