Stingers collapse in Corey Cup

With a golden opportunity to lead the division for the first time this season, the Concordia Stingers men’s hockey team squandered a two-goal lead in the Corey Cup game at Ed Meagher Arena on Wednesday, eventually losing the game 3-2 by allowing two powerplay goals in the second period, in front of a packed house of 1000.

“It’s the little things that got us today,” said defenceman Andrew Davis, “we lost the little battles; wingers not getting the puck, the defence not getting the puck out, and it swung momentum in their favour.”

A win would have secured a tie for top spot in the Far East division of the OUA with Trois-Rivi
