This week’s pick:

Band of Horses is of another of Sub Pop’s gems, initially attracting label attention by opening for Iron & Wine during a string of Seattle shows. Their second album “Cease To Begin” was released in October 2007. Their music has been frequently used for television shows, including Criminal Minds, Chuck and One Tree Hill to name a few. In an interview with The Hour earlier this year, singer Bridwell described the latest album as “a tale of two cities. Or places. Or, one is a city and the other is a place”. Whatever. Check them out.

Runner-Up: C’mon, you don’t know?
