Homecoming

Ocean waves crash on the shores,
The glistening Sun beats down on my head,
I feel its beauty with every ray. But the
Warmth turns cold.

The sea freezes in its movement,
Birds drop from the sky,
And the Sun vanishes from sight.
The day turns to night.

Silence fills the city,
As the last man roams the
Earth to find the missing piece
Of the puzzle.

What was certain is now uncertain,
Tomorrow is yesterday, and yesterday
Is last year. In this place time
Is circular not linear.

Sheer will can break through this
Pattern of ice and still. I know this
In my begin, each of us has this
Power to change the course of time
And return the birds to the sky.
