Soup for poverty’s empty bowls

Empty bowls will be filled with delicious hot soup on Wednesday during the Seventh Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser hosted by Concordia’s Ceramics department.
“It is a project which combines ceramic art with humanitarian action to raise awareness about the issue of hunger in our community,” said project coordinator Ryan Oberfield.
The Empty Bowls fundraiser is based on a simple idea: buy a bowl of soup to fight hunger and keep it as a reminder that somewhere, someone’s bowl is empty.
At this event, students will be selling their handmade bowls filled with free soup.
“The bowls are all on display and the sale goes on a basis of first come, first served. Since the bowls are all unique, people better come early to get the best ones,” said Genevi
