Suburban Motel extends at Mainline due to successful engagement

Suburban Motel, a series of six George F. Walker plays, all featuring the same decrepit motel and a rotating cast of characters, has extended its three week run. Broadway had a difficult time selling its three part theatre series The Norman Conquest this summer, but Montrealers have flocked to the mainline to catch the quirky, dark and disturbing motel series.
In Featuring Loretta (photo at right), the titular character is looking to find herself after her husband dies after a grizzly bear attack. Loretta (Warona Setshwaelo) in her search for happiness and money, finds a bookie who wants to put her infront of the camera of his porno. However, she is also attracting the attention of a business man who simply wants to be in a relationship with her. Hilarity ensues as both men vie for her attention.

Featuring Loretta returns on Dec.2 at 7 p.m. The Suburban Motel series continues this week and is exteded until Dec.3. Visit www.mainlinetheatre.ca for more information.
