Tuesday was the last chance to get hot dogs and fries at the original location of the Montreal Pool Room, before the restaurant closed their doors. Opened in 1912, this hot dog restaurant is believed to be one of the oldest eateries in Montreal. The restaurant will be moving to a new location across the street. It had been one of the last holdouts against a redevelopment project that will see the building that housed the Pool Room torn down and replaced with a new office building. Earlier this year the Pool Room’s owners decided not to renew their lease and find a new location in the area. Fans will be pleased to know that there still will not be a useable pool table in the new establishment.
