Open for Business

University and government dignitaries gathered downtown last Tuesday morning to celebrate the official opening of Concordia's new building that will house the John Molson School of Business. The 15-storey building also includes two underground levels, and will eventually accommodate almost 8,000 students.

Acres and Acres - All Nations (Killbeat Music; 2009) 4.5/10 This East Coast collaboration falls short of quality folk. Despite the requisite harmonica and a solid musical base, Kris Pope and Dave Scholten of Acres and Acres can't compete with Neil Young. The album contains stripped down songs, designed by Pope and Scholten to showcase the stories they want to tell.

Men’s rugby team remains undefeated

Concordia's men's rugby team prevailed 29-10 over the Sherbrooke Vert et Or on Friday night to bring their record to 3-0. Sherbrooke started their game sluggish and slow and Concordia did not hesitate to capitalize on their poor offensive co-ordination to steal the ball away.
