Stingers unable to contain Martlets offense

In a game where the McGill Martlets were missing two key players, the Stingers were still unable to capture their first victory of the season against the number-one ranked team in the country. With goaltender Charline Labonte and defenseman Cathy Chartrand off to the Canadian national team training camp, the unfazed Martlets defeated the Stingers 4-1 on Sunday afternoon at Ed Meagher Arena.

Stingers heading to playoffs

Concordia's women's basketball team finished their season on a high note last weekend, knocking off Bishops' 72-66 and McGill 77-75. The Stingers sit square in the middle of the Quebec division standings in third place, with Laval and UQAM occupying the top positions and Bishop's and McGill below.

Concordia snaps skid with UQAM shutout

Concordia's women's soccer team ended a six-game winless streak courtesy of a 1-0 victory over the UQAM Citadins at Loyola Field. The lone goal came in the 26th minute from an Emily Hubbard strike. The Stingers defense helped set the pace with a strong opening half, keeping the Citadins forwards from making any serious threats on the ConU goal.
