The CSU has voted in favour of removing Geneva Guerin from the Environment Health and Safety Committee.
Guerin’s position as student representative was suspended two weeks ago after she failed to attend a committee meeting. She had asked the CSU to reconsider their decision because she had not presented her version of the events.
The decision to remove her from the committee was not unanimous, as some members of council felt she should have been given the chance to properly defend herself.
Guerin was not present at the meeting, instead opting to send a mass E-mail to state her side of the story.Guerin was formerly the CSU VP External, she resigned before the beginning of the fall semester.
