Last year got off to a rocky start, and it never seemed to slow down. It will most likely be known as a year of turmoil and protest, although opinions differ as to how history will look back on our fair campus. Debates are still raging as to whether ConU’s good name has been dragged through the mud, or whether one day this year will be viewed in the same light as the 1969 “Computer Riots” at Concordia or the student movement of the Sixties embodied at UC Berkeley. Here is a brief overview of what made Concordia the most talked about university in Canada in 2002.

The new year began well, with students getting a gift from the City of Montreal when Mayor G
