The Concordia security department is asking students to dial 811 in case of an emergency instead of directly calling 911.
In order to better respond to an emergency such as a fire or medical emergency, dialing 811 will help Concordia security better direct police about the location of the incident. For all other non-emergency, such as unlocking a door, students are can dial local 3717.
