SPCA program targets students for help

Two weeks ago, the Montreal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) discovered a kitten on their doorstep in a bloody towel. Someone snipped its ears and tail off and hacked its claws to nubs.

Pierre Barnotti, SPCA director, and his employees named the five-month-old kitten Lucky. The man who dropped the kitten off was caught on camera. The SPCA is recognized by the Ministry of Public Security and conducted its own investigation to find the culprit.
