Canadian duo Tegan and Sara have come a long way since the release of their debut album The Business of Art in 2000. Over the years, these girls have proven to be incredibly talented musicians and songwriters. They’re not too shabby in the vocal department either. Since they are sisters, they have similar voices. This makes for amazing harmony in their songs. Their newest record, So Jealous, will not disappoint. Although it has a more mainstream sound than the duo’s previous albums don’t be fooled.
Their acoustic-folk roots are firmly planted. Although I think their second album, If it was you, remains the best of the three (Don’t Confess is the greatest break-up song ever written), So Jealous is definitely a worthy competitor. There are quite a few songs on this album (such as Walking with the Ghost and I Can’t Take It), that are worth putting on repeat.
