Stepping inside the Wheel Club on a Monday night feels like entering a time warp, a hillbilly time warp to be more specific. It will seem as though you were transported back to the 1950s, but not the ’50s of poodle skirts and James Dean jackets.
Instead there were plaid shirts, cowboy hats and boots, and fringed shirts galore. However, it didn’t look tacky on the golden-aged crowd; they looked right at home in this smoky, intimate and welcoming venue.
They all seemed to know each other. That’s probably because they’ve been going there for so many years.
