Montreal is currently in the midst of another film festival, and it is not too late to enjoy it. Running until Saturday, Oct. 28, the Festival du Nouveau Cinema is celebrating its 35th year with an incredibly eclectic program certain to fulfill everyone’s cinematic needs.
The festival includes 189 films from 39 countries, ranging from fictional and documentary features and shorts, to tributes, retrospectives, professional gatherings and events.
Among the highlights is the Temps Zero program, with 14 films that focus on animation. In its third year, Temps includes the North American premiere of Douglas Buck’s remake of Brian DePalma’s Sisters, a film about a reporter investigating psychological experiments on children.
