The Concordia Stingers football team was probably watching Laval beating up on Acadia in Saturday’s Uteck Bowl and wondering what could have been.
The Stingers main rival in Quebec City is headed to the Vanier Cup, and the Stingers were essentially one game away.
The Stingers had a positive season nonetheless. They put themselves on the map and raised their profile around Canada, and more specifically around Montreal and Quebec. The Stingers lost two regular season games, but most of their regulars did not play in the season finale against the Sherbrooke Vert et Or. The other loss was an epic 21-18 overtime game against conference champion Laval.
