Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing

Karl Wolf isn’t just another pretty face busting a few choreographed moves in a high-energy video. He is definitely not another grazing sheep following the flock. He is ‘The Wolf’ and not the big, bad kind.

It all started with a reference to the 80s flick Teen Wolf starring Michael J. Fox back while Wolf was playing basketball in high school in Dubai. “During that time the movie was very popular and in that movie he was the shortest but fastest guy on the court,” Wolf explained. “I was the shortest but fastest guy on the team, so they started calling me ‘The Wolf’ and it stuck with me ever since.”

“The Wolf” is a nickname that this producer/songwriter/artist actually does live up to and does it with pride and conviction. Wolf stuck his foot through the backdoor of the music industry starting out as a producer/songwriter. He dug his claws deep into the world of music at the young age of 22, winning the award for “Best Mix & Sound” at L’ADISQ, and hasn’t let go since. “I started in this business as a producer and songwriter as opposed to an artist like a lot of others in this business,” Karl said.

The songwriter/producer was recruited by Antoine Sicotte of the successful pop band Sky in 2002 and showed the world that this wolf packs a triple threat with killer pipes. One year later, Karl went on to co-write Star Acad
