Police brutality march a bust

An annual protest denouncing police brutality turned ugly on Thursday with police arresting 15 people. Six of the arrested were minors. The charges range from arson, assault on a police officer, mischief and illegal assembly. Last year, 33 people were arrested.

Last year, 33 people were arrested. A police officer also had a bottle hurled into her face.

The demonstration began at Snowdon metro station and protestors marched up Queen Mary in the C

A ruling made in Quebec Superior Court last Friday put the brakes on a scheduled lecture that would have defied the moratorium on events related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on campus.
