Activists march again for Gazans

Montreal activist groups Solidarity for Palestinian Human Rights (SPHR) and Tadamon! organized two marches in just as many weeks to bring public attention to the ongoing crisis in Gaza. The anti-Israel demonstration gathered supporters in front of the Hall Building last Saturday, and proceeded down Ste-Catherine street, stopping in front of the Indigo bookstore. The chanting was led at one point by Toufic Haddad, a Palestinian-American author, who reiterated the call for boycotts against Indigo whose owners they say are financially supporting the Israel Defense Forces. The march was composed of roughly 200 people. SPHR organized the first protest on Jan. 29.
