A group of locked-out employees protested outside Quebecor Media offices, the company that owns the daily publication. With loud chanting and blaring music, protesters were out in full force despite freezing conditions. Management locked out Le Journal’s editorial staff and office employees on Jan. 24. About 250 employees at the paper have been without contracts since Dec. 31.
