When the Liberal Party anointed a new leader several months ago there was a surprising amount of silence from the Conservative Party. The usual Conservative attack ads were noticeably absent on the airwaves. We would have expected the Conservatives to create a pre-emptive negative public opinion of Michael Ignatieff.
