Concordia’s Theatre and Contemporary Dance students are settling into their new home at the John Molson School of Business.
For 25 years, the department made its home in the TJ building Loyola campus. The building’s owners, the Commision Scolaire de Montreal notified Concordia in May 2008 that the lease would not be renewed.
The move gave Concordia the opportunity to provide brand new facilities for its Fine Arts students, but has left some Montreal West residents seething.
The official reason given for not renewing the lease was overcrowding at École Saint-Luc, a secondary school in Notre-Dame-de-Gr
