Winter in Montreal is the worst. Until I moved here, I hadn’t even heard of Canada Goose parkas and I thought Sorel boots were only worn by kindergarteners. It can be pretty hard to look good when you’re lugging heavy boots and a wet wool coat through the snow, but every now and then I come across someone working their winter wear. This week I met 10 individuals who caught my eye while trying not to catch a cold. Though the city isn’t down to its famously freezing temperatures just yet, it’s still important to pile on the layers and sport a solid coat while managing to look fashionable. Whether it’s a little bit of faux fur, lots of leather, or a duvet-like down parka, this season’s trends are sure to keep Montrealers warm.
