Dean of Students Donald Boisvert has stepped down from his administrative position to return to teaching.
The university made the announcement yesterday afternoon.
Boisvert was unable to comment, but university communications officer Chris Mota said he will be taking a leave of absence until next fall, when he will return to teaching.
Mota said Boisvert will be taking time to vacation and possibly write a book.
Boisvert served as dean of students from 1996 until last Friday. A replacement will be announced Wednesday morning.
