FASA seeks accreditation

The Fine Arts Student Alliance (FASA) will hold a vote for its members to become an accredited student faculty association. According to Noah Stewart, CSU VP Communications and a member of the Accreditation Committee, FASA would gain the legal right to an office for its executives, to collect and administer fees from Concordia’s fine arts students, to officially represent its members at faculty association meetings and to gain access to fine arts students’ contact information.
Other faculty associations such as arts and sciences (ASFA), engineering (ECA) and business (CASA) at Concordia are already accredited.
Currently, there are roughly 3,000 fine arts students at Concordia, making it the smallest faculty at Concordia. FASA requires 25 per cent of fine arts students voting in favor to become accredited. Polls will be visiting classes starting this Thursday and continue until Wednesday, Feb. 13, and a voting booth will be available for fine arts students on the fifth floor of the EV building.
